How Bloom handles data
The short version: as little as possible, and nothing about children.
What we store
- Your school's name, and the name and email address of one adult contact at the school — so we can send the setup link and answer questions.
- For each class: the teacher's name, the class name, the class code, and the teacher's email address. The code is what makes your class's progress and flowers appear on any device; the email is how we send your code when you register — and again whenever you ask for a reminder.
What we don't store
- Nothing about children. No names, no accounts, no photos, nothing. Pupils never type anything about themselves into Bloom.
- Check-ins are counts, not children. When a class checks in with Fox, Bloom records how many chose each feeling that day. We never record who.
- No marketing. Your email is used to send class codes — nothing else. No newsletters, no promotions, and it's never shared with anyone.
- No trackers. No advertising, no analytics companies, no cookies that follow you around. Bloom keeps its own simple record of which class used which activity, so we can see the platform is working — that's it.
Where it lives
Bloom's data is stored in the UK/EU with our database provider, protected in transit and at rest. Class codes unlock activities and progress — they hold no personal or sensitive data.
Questions, corrections, or removal
